Redstone has a long history of giving and ministering to seniors...From its beginnings, Redstone was rooted in a moral obligation to provide quality care for senior community memberseven those who could no longer pay for their care. Since Redstone's founding in 1980, not a single resident has had to leave because of lack of financial resources. Redstone's Benevolent Care support ministry makes that possible, and we provide approximately $1.6 million in free care annually for our residents in need. Serving senior citizens in the Christian tradition with the goal of providing a quality, caring place to call home is at the very heart of our purpose. As a nonprofit, charitable organization, Redstone applies all gifts and monies toward the fulfillment and continuance of its mission, and to maintaining senior care services and programs of the highest quality. Our tradition at Redstone goes on...and your gifts help make that possible. For donors who wish to help us continue our ministry of care, several options are available, such as: Memorial Gifts A memorial gift is a meaningful way to commemorate someone special, to honor the memory of a beloved family member or friend, or show support for the bereaved. Tribute Gifts A gift made in tribute honors someone who has really made a difference...a special person you celebrate and want to recognize. Tribute gifts can be given for important occasions like birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, or for life accomplishments. Benevolent Care Gifts Many factors lead to the need for benevolent care. People are living longer, and the chances are greater that they will outlive their financial resources. Costs of health care and general services continue to increase beyond the cost of living. Investment income may be inadequate. Your gifts to this fund will help ensure that residents and their families in need will have peace of mind knowing that they will continue to receive daily living and healthcare provisions at Redstone. "Spirit of Giving" Gifts Our only annual fundraising event (held each year in November), the Spirit of Giving Gala, supports Redstone Highlands' Benevolent Care outreach. Our Benevolent Care Fund is exclusively used to provide for the health care and daily living needs of senior residents who have outlived their financial resources. Annual Giving Gifts Just like household budgets, expenses at Redstone Highlands continue to grow each year. To keep pace, annual contributions must also grow through new and increased gifts. Every year, as part of our annual giving drive, we ask for gifts and rely on the generosity of our residents, families, directors, staff and friends to help sustain the Redstone Highlands community. Legacy Gifts A legacy gift, or charitable bequest, provides a gift of money or personal property through the direction of a will. If you wish to leave a legacy gift to the Redstone community, please contact your attorney. Staff Appreciation Gifts Gifts to this fund say "Thank You" to our dedicated employees who provide quality care and service to our residents every day. Activities such as the annual Christmas party enable employees to enjoy the holiday season and each other in a relaxed, festive atmosphere. (In lieu of gratuities, we ask that you support Redstone's Staff Appreciation Fund.) Appreciated Securities Gifts With potential for providing greater tax relief than giving cash, gifts of appreciated securities make sound financial sense. If you wish to leave a gift of stock to Redstone Highlands, contact your financial advisor. Redstone Highlands genuinely appreciates your giving consideration and generosity.
